Happy FIRST birthday Loïc!

Yesterday was Loïc first birthday and even though we had just arrived in Singapore the day before, we had a huge celebration planned for him.

Here's the little boy on the way to my sister's place for the party. Looking stern and cool in the taxi.
At my sister's place, there are tons of people waiting to celebrate his birthday with him. First off, there are of course my parents, followed by my brother's family and my sister's family and families of my cousins and aunties and uncles!!!!

As it is Chinese New Year, my sister had engaged a lion dance troupe to come perform. Loïc was such a brave little boy. Even though it was rather impressing and extrememy loud for a little one, he was not scared.
After the noisy performance, the little boy was tired and went for a nap that last almost two hours. Right after he got up, it was cake cutting time!

Loïc first cake! The tree is actually made of chocolate.
Some of the family who were there to celebrate with us.

And after that everyone was trying to take turns to carry the birthday boy. He was so well-behaved. Even though there were a lot of new faces, he hardly cried. I am so proud of my boy. He is definitely growing up. I tried taking photos of him with various people but most of them turned out a little blur as he was moving all the time. Here is one of Loïc and his grand uncle.

He received a lot of ang pows but this is his first present!
