I am married to a loving husband who is French and we have two wonderful children, a girl and a boy. From a young age, I love to write and am quite the chatterbox. In 2002, I left Singapore to move to Canada. I started writing a journal then and it slowly evolved. I used to have my personal domain where I would upload photos and little snippets of how I was living my life away from home. When I was trying to be pregnant, I would log my journey in an online fertility support group's journal. Eventually, I converted the journal into a blog and that started my path as a blogger.
As time passed, my blog purpose changed. It became a medium for our families overseas
to stay connected to the lives of my family, especially the children. My first blog, mapetitechouchou was featured
in a Canadian magazine. I eventually
combined the blog for my two children into one.
And recently, I re-branded the blog to "Parenting Across 2 Cultures".
As an avid writer, I contribute articles to Mother and
Baby, a magazine published in Singapore by Mediacorp.
On a personal basis, I enjoy travelling and reading. I also bake and find a lot of joy in making
pretty cakes. I am passionate about
issues related to the family, in particular, parenting and marriage. I am a trained facilitator for Parenting with
Confidence programmes and my husband and I are currently marriage mentors as
well.
Currently, I am pursuing a graduate diploma in
counselling where I hope that upon completion of the course, i will be in a
better position to work with families at risk.
Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you will enjoy
reading my posts as much as I like writing them.
Blessings,
Sandra L.
